Balanced Mind Programme
We are raising the bar of exceptional mental health by cultivating a mind that is calm, stable and clear, a mind that is free – or at least free-er – of mental afflictions, whether cognitive or emotional, so that it can be put to work in the service of whatever meaningful endeavour your undertake.
In this programme, you will learn a clear methodology of how to meditate and cultivate four different types of mental balance, which you can put to the test empirically.
Irrespective of what our individual challenges and aspirations are, we could all do with a bit more mental balance. While the importance of a healthy body is often stressed in modern society, a healthy mind is only discussed when it is already under threat, either through an array of mental disorders or when it is in a period of intense stress. A balanced mind is not easily thrown off course by the vicissitudes that life presents to us, not jeopardised, biased, avoidant or reactive when dealing with the people or events that trigger us; it is calm and at ease, composed and stable, clear and sharp. Meditative quiescence centres around balancing the mind between extremes of different kinds and fine tuning it so that is becomes serviceable and can be put to work in whatever context is relevant.
